| When the main campus building in Waco
burned down, several cities invited TCU to move. Fort Worth
won them over with 50 acres of land on the outskirts of the
city (far removed from the bad influences of the notorious
"Hell's Half Acre"), connection to city utilities, public
transportation and considerable cash. Since 1910 TCU has been a Fort Worth institution. | |
